About this series
Maxdecal's Automotive Printing Media series is a 22-SKU catalogue of calendered PVC vinyls (monomeric or polymeric by SKU), cold-lamination overlaminates, vinyl protection films and magnetic sheeting, organised into four functional groups: Print Vinyl, Overlaminate / Lamination Film, Vinyl Protection Film (VPF), and Magnetic Film. Every SKU is engineered for digital printing and vehicle graphics production, covering solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet workflows.
The series is built for foreign distributors, sign shops and vehicle wrap installers who need a single source for the majority of automotive and outdoor advertising briefs. Finishes span white gloss, transparent, chrome, holographic, galaxy, fluorescent, reflective, glitter, matte and blockout — all from one catalogue line — while film thickness runs from 80 µm printable face stock to 500 µm heavy-duty protection overlay.
Three non-standard roll lengths (30 m for APR100, VPF500, VPF500M and MMS05; 15 m for MMS10) sit alongside the standard 50 m rolls; roll widths from 100 cm to 155 cm accommodate both standard and wide-format output. The Maxnetic magnetic sheeting rounds out the range for removable, adhesive-free display applications.
Key features
- Four functional groups — Print Vinyl, Lamination, VPF and Magnetic — cover the complete production chain.
- Ten distinct finishes: gloss, matte, chrome, holographic, galaxy, fluorescent, reflective, glitter, blockout and transparent.
- Compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet workflows; no dedicated equipment required.
- Film thickness from 80 µm printable face stock to 500 µm heavy-duty vinyl protection overlay.
- Blockout constructions (LXB85 / LXB100) eliminate light bleed on double-sided or dark-surface applications.
- Maxnetic magnetic sheeting (MMS05 / MMS10) enables daily-removable vehicle branding with zero adhesive residue.
Applications
Full and partial car wraps
APV80 (standard gloss white, 80 µm) and AHG90 (high-grip, 90 µm) deliver permanent solvent-based adhesion on painted panels, with the high-tack AHG90 variant maintaining bond on textured or low-energy automotive surfaces where standard adhesive may lift.
Fleet and commercial vehicle graphics
127 cm and 155 cm roll widths reduce seam count across large vehicle panels, and the permanent adhesive system across all Print Vinyl SKUs is rated for long-term outdoor exposure.
Special-effect decorative wraps
Chrome (APC80), holographic (APH80), galaxy (APG80 / AGS80) and fluorescent (AFY80) face films deliver high-impact finishes at 80 µm without custom paint or specialist installation tools.
Printed graphics lamination and surface protection
ECL120, ECM120 and LGL-127M provide cold-lamination overcoating for UV and abrasion resistance, while VPF100 / VPF100M and the 500 µm VPF500 / VPF500M offer progressively heavier surface protection over finished wrap graphics.
Outdoor signage, POP and backlit displays
LXB85 and LXB100 blackout constructions eliminate substrate show-through on double-sided or backlit panels, and TMP85 clear gloss supports transparent overlay applications on retail displays.
Removable promotional and fleet magnetics
MMS05 (0.5 mm, 30 m roll) and MMS10 (1.0 mm, 15 m roll) Maxnetic sheets allow vehicle branding to be swapped or removed daily without adhesive residue, suited to rental fleets and short-campaign advertising.

Technical notes
- Surface preparation (adhesive vinyl SKUs): Clean substrate with isopropyl alcohol. Apply between approximately 10 °C and 35 °C; avoid application in direct sunlight.
- Standard roll length is 50 m; non-standard lengths are marked in the SKU tables above.
- Storage: Store rolls horizontally in a cool, dry environment away from direct UV. Observe the shelf-life guidance on individual product data sheets.
Common questions
How is the series organised, and which SKUs fall into each group?
The series works on two levels. By role in the job there are four functional groups — Print Vinyl, Overlaminate / Lamination Film, Vinyl Protection Film (VPF) and Magnetic Film. The print vinyls are then split by why you would choose one over another:
| Group | SKUs | |---|---| | **Automotive Print Base** — colour comes from your printer | APV80, AHG90 | | **Specialty Effect Vinyl** — the film itself is the effect | APC80, APH80, APG80, AGS80 | | **High-Visibility Vinyl** — chosen to be seen | APR100, AFY80 | | **Multipurpose Printing Label Vinyl** — dry glue technology | TMP85, LXB85, LXB100, LXG85, LMP85 | | **Overlaminate / Lamination Film** | ECL120, ECM120, LGL-127M | | **Vinyl Protection Film (VPF)** | VPF100, VPF100M, VPF500, VPF500M | | **Magnetic Film (Maxnetic)** | MMS05, MMS10 |
This structure lets you match the correct SKU to each stage of the production workflow — print, protect, then mount.
Which SKUs are compatible with latex printers?
The entire Print Vinyl group is rated for solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet workflows. However, latex curing generates elevated heat, so confirm heat tolerance with the individual product data sheet before running chrome (APC80) or holographic (APH80) substrates, as their metallic constructions may respond differently to high-temperature curing cycles.
What is the difference between LXB85 and LXB100?
Both are white gloss blackout face films available in 105 / 127 / 155 cm widths on 50 m rolls. LXB100 is 100 µm versus 85 µm for LXB85, giving it a stiffer construction that provides greater dimensional stability and opacity — preferable for heavier double-sided signage or substrates where light bleed is a concern.
Can VPF500 / VPF500M replace a dedicated paint protection film?
At 500 µm they are heavy-duty vinyl protection overlaminates that add meaningful surface protection to finished wrap graphics, but they are not polyurethane PPF. For full paint protection film applications, reference Maxdecal's dedicated PPF series.
What adhesive options are available, and can any SKU be removed cleanly?
All adhesive vinyl SKUs in this series use a permanent, solvent-based adhesive — clear liner on most SKUs, black liner (BP) on blockout constructions, grey adhesive on the grey-out construction (LXG85), and a high-tack variant on AHG90 for low-energy or textured surfaces. There is no removable adhesive option in this series. For removable applications, Maxnetic magnetic sheeting (MMS05 / MMS10) provides a non-adhesive alternative suitable for flat or mildly curved metal surfaces.
Which SKUs do not come on a standard 50 m roll, and why does it matter for quoting?
Four SKUs ship on 30 m rolls — APR100 (reflective), VPF500, VPF500M — and MMS05 (magnetic); MMS10 ships on a 15 m roll. Using the standard 50 m assumption for these SKUs will result in under-ordering. Always verify roll length on the individual product page before submitting a project quote.
