About this series
The XTREME Series is Maxdecal’s high-performance film platform for extreme powersports graphics and premium custom stickers: 15 SKUs across three families — 4 high-grip printable films (90–120 µm), 6 thin 60 µm clear overlaminates and 5 heavy-duty 350 µm flat and textured overlaminates — all running the same 1.27 m (50 in) web width.
Motorsport wraps and decals live under extreme stress, and the industry’s two most common failures are edge lifting and delamination — especially once a thick overlaminate is added. XTREME was engineered around exactly this problem: a specially formulated high-grip adhesive system with high initial tack and strong final adhesion that keeps the whole laminated build structurally intact around complex curves, and grips low-surface-energy, hard-to-stick and rough textured surfaces where standard films fail.
The series is race-proven — validated in MotoGP projects and selected as the official wrapping material of the Sodi World Series international karting championship. Technical notes
- Dry and wet application are both supported; for the bubble-free adhesives, dry application is recommended so the air-egress channels can do their work.
- The high-grip adhesive is engineered for holding power on difficult surfaces — clean, residue-free removal is not guaranteed and depends on substrate, climate and service time.
- Surface preparation matters: clean and degrease the substrate before application; contamination weakens the bond and raises the residue risk.
- Pair printable films and overlaminates from within the series, so the adhesive system stays matched to the laminate weight.
- MXPX120 measures 120 µm — its white base and xirallic effect layer are two films laminated together; the other printable films are 90–100 µm.
- Roll width is 1.27 m (50 in) across the range; printable films and 60 µm overlaminates come on 50 m rolls, the 350 µm overlaminates on 30 m rolls.

Common questions
Which overlaminate should I choose — 60 µm or 350 µm?
Weight-sensitive work favours Overlaminate 60: racing and full-bike wraps get protection and finish with minimal added weight. Impact-heavy work favours Overlaminate 350: dirt bikes, karts and anything that takes stones and knocks gets a thick, armour-like top layer.
Is XTREME the right choice for ordinary car or fleet wraps?
Usually no. Mainstream automotive and commercial wraps are served by our automotive print media range (for example APV80 + VPF100), which is engineered for ultra-gloss finish and HD print quality on that kind of work. XTREME earns its keep on low-surface-energy, rough and high-stress surfaces — powersports, off-road and karting.
Will XTREME remove cleanly without residue?
Clean removal is not guaranteed. The adhesive is a high-grip system whose job is to hold thick laminates onto difficult surfaces; whether it comes off residue-free depends on the substrate, the climate and how long the graphic has been in service. Set that expectation with the end customer up front.
Why is MXPX120 thicker than the other printable films?
The xirallic effect needs two films — a white base and the xirallic effect layer — laminated together, which adds roughly 20–30 µm to the face compared with the single-layer printable films.
What makes the 350 µm overlaminates special apart from thickness?
They use a soft, PVC-free face material. Besides armouring off-road graphics, the PVC-free construction is friendly to skin contact, which opens uses such as grip pads and paddle-surface protection. The Rough Matt, Rough Pixel and Rough Prism versions also add a tactile texture that sticker artists use for premium finishes.
